Many of the problems in the World are caused by governments pursuing or protecting national interests, dictators with genocidal and nationalistic tendencies, despots with personal greed, religious strife and big businesses chasing greater profits.
Would the USA and UK interfered in Iraq if they had not had oil? Why have they not removed Mugabe from Zimbabwe? What gives them the right to tell Iran it can't develop a Nuclear bomb? Why are Palestinians living in refugee camps seventy years after they had their land taken from them?
Now imagine a
world with no borders,
one peacekeeping army responsible to one government,
a world where no dictator or despot could hope to gain power. A world where people were starving to death and where children didn't die because of a lack of medicine.
Imagine a world where the likes of Saddam Hussein and Robert Mugabe had been unable to seize power, where you didn't have to worry about countries like Iran of North Korea having nuclear weapons; where Palestinian refugees had not been displaced and left to rot in refugee camps for the last seventy years.
The World Democratic Party
was created to bring an end to the suffering that mankind has inflicted on itself. To put an end to national interests and inequalities that exist between nations by bringing down borders; ensuring that free trade without unfair embargoes are allowed and assist emerging economies to evolve without poisoning this planet.
This is going to require an unselfish attitude and some self-sacrifice and a lot of persuasion on the part of people living today. Many of us will not benefit in our lifetimes, many more could and everyone in the future will be major beneficiaries of these changes.
At the moment our policies are just ideas that need debate and economic evaluation. We have no HQ,
no funds
and an extreme shortage of
members,
volunteers,
and
delegates.
Now that is what you call being transparent and honest; something other political parties and politicians fail to be.
However, using the power of the internet, we can make the world aware of our existence and if you like our ideas, you can
tell your friends
and help spread the word.
