Experience
· I have 10 years experience in dry lining, partitioning and ceiling fixing. I have worked on major commercial construction projects throughout the UK including Ministry of Defence Offices, Liberty Stadium, Bluestone Project and Vodafone business offices.
· I have experience of constructing using met-sec systems. This involves construction of heavy duty steel frameworks of commercial buildings.
· I have experience managing others on a construction building site. As an experienced tradesman I am able to manage the work of my team to ensure that deadlines are met. I do this by planning the work and resource that is available. I also ensure that all materials are on site and available when needed. If there are any problems with resources or material I escalate these to the site foreman, offering possible solutions.
· I have been responsible for my own Health and Safety and for that of those working for me. I am aware of Health and Safety procedures and have issued my team with their Method Statements and Risk assessments.
· I have demonstrated my communication skills when discussing job specification and any problems with Site foremen. I have clearly explained the issue and offered possible solutions. In Site meetings I have also negotiated timescales and resources needed for projects to be completed.
