...Replace every prospective client and new customer everyday so that you never run out of people to sell to. Having a continuous flow of good quality people to sell to is the lifeblood of any sales person. The day you stop prospecting for new clients is the day you start to go out of business.

This rule has never changed in five thousand years of selling; the way we go about finding clients however has, and continues to evolve. Failing sales managers and sales people are always looking for a magic formula that will turn them into super salesmen. There isn't one, no sales training, power phrases, closing techniques, personal development courses or selling skills are ever going to convert a loser into a winner until the grasp that they have to continually prospect for business.

Nowadays, we provide a whole range of services designed to generate qualified sales leads and quality sales enquiries to feed sales teams and keep them busy selling. The days when it was necessary to cold call are long gone and any company that makes its sales people cold call is working in the dark ages and obviously scratching around for business.

It's a misnomer that great salespeople have the gift of the gab; in my experience, the best salespeople say very little, allowing the client to speak. Confident salespeople tend to be quiet and don't waste their energy on timewasters; whilst sales people who are doomed to failure tend to be loud, brash, appear over confident and enthusiastic and get burned out too quickly.

Confidence comes as a result of two things - continued success and always knowing that you have a whole range of prospective clients who are likely to buy their product or service. Struggling sales people wake up in the morning wondering where their next sale is coming from and tend to work off poor quality sales lists. We have the solutions to this problem. I have been asked what the magic formula is to successful selling so many times, it doesn't bear thinking about. The question is always asked by struggling sales people who have low closing ratios. There is no magical formula, sales script or pitch or full proof closing technique in fact, most sales techniques taught in a classroom are more likely to work against you.

The reason that some sales people have higher closing ratios is because they are working off higher quality sales leads and enquiries, speaking to more people and are relaxed about selling. If you only have one person to sell to, the likelihood is that you will be under pressure, stressed and nervous; and this will come though in your sales presentation and unnerve the client. On the other hand, if you have a whole list of people who have enquired about your product, you will be under little pressure, confident and relaxed and the client will feel relaxed and confident in you.

If the client has the ability to pay for your product or service and has a need or desire that you can fulfil, all you need to do is provide the solution. Having established their budget, there is no need to stand on their throat in order to close a sale. If you have the solution and they have the ability to pay there is no reason why they shouldn't buy from you if you have done your fact finding right.

As a salesperson, your biggest and only problem should be trying to cope with the level of sales leads you are given to contact everyday. We can help you generate sales leads but there are other things you could do and here is one sales idea.
