It would be impossible to provide a complete breakdown on our commission structure here; so this is just one example of the kind of generous commissions we pay and how you can build up a substantial income. Please bear in mind that we are simplifying this scenario for practical purposes.

A retail company is seeing its high street sales fall and their competitors appear to be doing far better than they are through their internet sales. In fact, most websites are not built for the search engines and get very little natural traffic. Whist high street retail sales have dropped over the last two quarters, internet sales across the board have risen by 38%. People are going on line to find the bargains and avoid town centre parking charges.

Recommendation would be to redesign and build the website for the search engines to pick up traffic from people searching the web and implement a search engine optimisation contract to build up the traffic over a 12 month period. There would be other online/offline advertising/marketing strategies required to drive more visitors to the website.

Cost of build of E-commerce website: £25,000 + VAT
Cost of SEO implementation: £2000.00 + VAT per month
Other advertising/marketing budget: £50,000 (could be anything - TV/Magazine/Direct Mail/etc, depending on the company)

Commissions payable:

Website design: £2,500
SEO: £1,000 initial commission plus £200 per month for the next 11 months
Advertising/Marketing: 3%-5% depending on the type of marketing/advertising undertaken, so £1500 - £2,500

Total commission earned £6,200 - £7,200 plus of course the potential to earn more from other sales to this client or from them renewing the SEO contract and advertising/marketing campaigns.

Large cases can take twelve months to close, whilst smaller businesses tend to have fewer people involved in the decision process. The last thing you want is a case of large-case-itus.
