Proposals for creating a new residential community with employment opportunities at this 240 hectare site are at an early stage in the planning process. ecosulis ltd has undertaken a Phase I Study and are currently engaged in Phase II Studies to guide the emerging site master plan. Data from these studies have been used to design mitigation at a landscape level,  years before the Environmental  Statement and Planning Application will be submitted.

Much of the ecological interest centres on an historically significant building, which is important for several bat species, and its grounds, which provide a refuge for other wildlife. Several field ponds also support Great Crested Newts. The scale of the site and its arable location offers plenty of scope for creative thinking to achieve the full development potential of the site, while at the same time achieving positive gains for nature conservation.

ecosulis ltd is already involved with pre-development works for Great Crested Newts, including the restoration and management of derelict ponds, creation of new ponds, and installation of amphibian fencing and tunnels.
