POLITICAL CAMPAIGNS + PEACE + WARS + NATIONALISM + CHARITY FUND RAISING
Political campaigns * peace * wars * nationalism * charity fund raising * education * health * famine * disease * political campaigns * elections * debate * surveys * economic immigration
With so many problems in the world it is difficult to know where to start and in order to make a difference you have to have a voice that is heard above the crowd. Most politicians will call for world peace and an end to wars but their calls are always guarded for the sake of national interests.
MUGABE
Robert Mugabe continues to plunder Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans are left to suffer whilst Western Governments claim it is the responsibility of other African nations to intervene or bring pressure to bear on this Despot and they appear to be doing nothing.
This argument didn't stop the USA and UK from invading Iraq and of course there is a serious lesson to be learned here because invading a country doesn't ensure peace and doesn't win the hearts and minds of any population.
Sanctions of course can make life economically difficult for any government but Zimbabweans are starving anyway and would suffer enormously whilst Mugabe and his cronies continued to live comfortably.
Any solution to this problem should be peaceable and not involve bloodshed. First, pressure should be brought to bear on all nations to arrest Mugabe and any member of his government as a criminal the moment they step out of Zimbabwe.
Second, all overseas assets and bank accounts owned by Mugabe or any member of his government should be seized and put aside for the benefit of Zimbabwe once a free and democratic government has been elected.
Third, South Africa and other African nations should put pressure on Mugabe to call a general election with UN monitors.
Fourth, we should refuse to buy any product exported from any country that continues to support Mugabe or ignore what is going on in Zimbabwe.
Fifth, join the World Democratic Party to help put weight behind our voice to put an end to the suffering of Zimbabweans.
NUCLEAR POWER
Generations to come are going to look back and wonder why and how we ever put ourselves in a position where we willingly and without forethought poisoned our planet. Nuclear power leaves radioactive waste that will remain hazardous for hundreds of thousands of years. This is the legacy we are leaving for the future to have to deal with.
Furthermore, nuclear power stations are a catastrophic accident waiting to happen. It doesn't matter how safe nuclear experts claim it to be, they are biased. If they are right, there is just the problem of all the nuclear waste; if they are wrong, heaven help us all. Chernobyl was just one nuclear accident, an accident we are told would never happen. There is another Chernobyl coming near you very soon.
We don't need nuclear power, there are other greener and safer alternatives. Anything is better than nuclear energy no matter the financial cost. Solar, wind, sea, hydro-electric, bio oils are all cleaner alternatives that need more investment.
NUCLEAR AND OTHER WEAPONS
The world is run by governments that are morally corrupt and hypocritical. Whilst someone can get a long prison sentence for smuggling drugs because of the damage it does to our society, companies are encouraged and actively promoted by governments to manufacture guns, armaments and weapons of mass destruction that are then sold on to other governments who use them to kill hundreds of thousands of people.
