PIXEL ADVERTISING SEARCH ENGINE

Pixel advertising search engine, designed and built by James Wildish a sixteen year old school boy, million dollar pixel advertising on the search engine boogami.com

Looking at the search engine and pixel advertising concept James had built, I couldn't fail to be impressed. Whilst most young men of his age were playing on their play stations or drinking cheap cider on street corners, he was working on a unique business idea that he had conceived himself.

Start of article about new search engine.

Mentored by his Dad, they had already implemented a number of strategies to protect the idea and fully understood that if Boogami.com was going to be the success they believed it was, they were going to need serious backing. There were no flies on this boy, believe you me. The search engine worked, the back end systems were in place and he had further ideas on the drawing board to develop the search engine even further.

Of course he had encountered problems on the way but he had researched and sought the right type of advice and got the site to a point where he could approach an internet business partner to take the company to the next stage of development. Abbey National (part of the Santander Group) recommended us and James and David (his Dad) duly got in touch.

It wasn't just the unique business idea or the quality of the search engine that James had developed it was the professional manner in which they approached us and pitched the idea. In the areas where they had the skills and experience they had done a first class job and sought professional advice at every stage. Unlike many people who come up with a business idea who think that just having an idea is enough to encourage investors to get involved and part with their money for a small slice of the action; James and David were obviously well aware of the practicalities of finding business partners.

They knew they had taken the project as far as they could on their own and now needed major investment from an internet company with the resources and infrastructure to give the business the best possible chance of success. They understood that building the search engine was just one small part of the business and that the major investment was needed to cover a myriad of business costs; something most internet entrepreneurs never grasp and therefore simply blunder onto the internet and lose money.

To make Boogami.com a success and get it into the public domain was going to take an initial investment of somewhere in the region of £50,000 in the early days with investment of hundreds of thousands in the short, medium and long term. This is something most internet entrepreneurs never grasp when they have their websites built. The major costs involve marketing, advertising, PR, search engine optimisation, linking strategies, additional IT support and staff. James and David were already fully aware of what was needed and didn't need too much explaining; it was really quite refreshing.

As well as all the obvious benefits of partnering us, there are other less obvious but equally valuable assets that we bring to the table. Business brains and acumen, innovation and unique ideas. Most business propositions and projects that we back rarely end up as originally planned and Boogami was to be no exception. Two heads are better than one but when you have a team of ten or twenty people kicking ideas around and those people come with a variety of backgrounds and skills; the ideas tend to flow.

James's idea was excellent and it was obvious that he had countless ideas about how to improve the site and increase revenue but we also had a few ideas of our own. It was obvious from our first conversation that we had a rapport and we were all onto something very big.

James's original idea was to provide home page pixel advertising.
