ecosulis ltd were commissioned at the earliest stages of the road scheme.  We were involved in the preparation of the ecological element of the Environmental Statement, including undertaking the impact assessment following guidance from the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.  This involved identifying the presence of any important habitats or species, including protected species, and developing mitigation strategies for minimising/removing the impact of the road scheme upon these ecological receptors.

Following submission of the Compulsory Purchase Orders we continued with the project, acting as Ecological Clerk of Works, ensuring that the impacts of the road scheme were monitored throughout the project.

Other elements of involvement included vegetation clearance, tree assessment and surgery, installation of amphibian fencing, supervising installation of Badger fencing and wildlife tunnels, and long-term monitoring of protected species such as Badger, Otter and Great Crested Newt.
