If you have never written an article or book for the internet before it is essential that you follow this advice. If you are writing a book and would like to turn it into an e-book to be sold online, make sure you contact us first (unless of course you have already written it).

SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMISATION

If you are writing a long article, make sure you break it down into separate headings so that it makes it easy for us to see where the specific sections start and finish.
Try and use keywords throughout the article. However, don't pack it unnecessarily as this will make the search engine optimisation more difficult.
Bear in mind that we will be creating numerous pages and optimising them for specific key phrases that may be contained within the article

When writing articles for the internet, more is better. The more you can write on a subject, the more money you are likely to earn through our advertising sponsors. This is a sure fire way to improve your Google Adsense income. This is not like writing for a newspaper where you have to keep your text concise. HOW TO USE ARTICLES TO DRIVE TRAFFIC TO YOUR WEBSITE

Driving traffic to a website is something every website owner loses sleep over. This subject is covered in greater detail in the chapter about search engine optimisation, but writing articles is just one way of generating more traffic.

If you have a low performing website you need to look at two areas. The first is writing articles in order to add content to your website and the second is writing articles and adding them to other websites with links to your website.

INCREASE TRAFFIC

However, before you start typing, you need to understand how this works and the best way to go about the process or you could end up doing a lot of work with little return. There is a lot of work involved in writing articles to increase traffic to a website and you should consider the following points.

You should only post an article on one website, whether it is your own or another site, because Google will only index the article once; they will not index duplicate content.
There is, however, no reason why you can't heavily edit an article and use it several times. It must be very heavily edited or Google will recognise it as being similar content and simply dump it in their supplementary index.
If your website hasn't been correctly optimised from the outset, simply adding more content will do nothing or very little to attract more traffic.

There are blogging sites that allow you to add content with links to websites. I have done a chapter on blogs but I have yet to be convinced that they will help a great deal. I am however open-minded about the subject.
There are also websites that invite you to submit articles and link to your site. Again, I have yet to be convinced that they do much because the pages are never optimised for the search engines and I fail to see how they can get much quality traffic.
Alternatively, you can write articles and submit them to us and this will maximise your Google Ads income. We then optimise the web pages and build them to gain specific traffic. Or you could have a go at writing articles and submitting them to Utopele. It costs, but at about 60p a day, it isn't going to break the bank and you can optimise your web pages for the kind of traffic you want.
In my experience, trying to cut corners or cut costs usually only ends up in cutting income and profits.
