I wouldn't recommend the stock market as a medium to make money. The people getting burned are the amateurs who don't understand the markets whilst the people in the know are profiting from their ignorance. Back in October 2005 I was predicting that there would be a property crash brought on by a serious banking crisis. I stopped buying property back then and am now dipping my toe back in the water. I was a little premature in dropping out and most people think I am foolish in getting back into the market so early. The American dream is coming to an end as Americans slowly realise that theirs is no longer a country of plenty and has its limitations.

As a result the markets have changed and people will be looking to use the internet to pick up bargains, find the best or cheapest deals and generally be trying to save or make extra money.

An established website could be worth investing in because it could return you a higher rate of interest than you can get from a bank. It has the potential to be developed further and also sold on.

One market place that won't have changed is the panic buyer. This is the person who needs an instant solution to a problem.
