James's original idea was to provide pixel advertising on the home page of his search engine. It was obvious that advertisers would be better served if the pixel advertising appeared on every page when someone did a search. Advertising is about delivering results and that can only be achieved by ensuring the maximum number of people see the advertisements.

What we had here was the perfect advertising medium; pixel advertising on a search engine that appeared on every page, no matter what someone was searching for. It would ensure that advertisers got the maximum ROI from users of the search engine.
However, like all internet advertising, what most advertisers will be asking is one thing. "How many people will be visiting the site and will they
continue to use the site?" Unlike all the other websites that have sprung up selling pixel advertising,
Boogami is a search engine and therefore provides a service that internet users could use; which begged the question. Why would someone use Boogami as opposed to all the other search engines and how could it compete with the likes of Google and Yahoo?
This is where our PR and marketing skills come to the fore. Whilst Boogami is a search engine and people can use it to search the internet, it will have to compete with thousands of other search engines, most of which no one has ever heard of. Boogami is going to have to be different and offer users a reason to keep coming back and using it again. Better still, it has to become a search engine that some people prefer to use in sufficient numbers as opposed to the big search engines that dominate the market place.
James already had a number of ideas to make his search engine different and alongside our support team, we are already developing a number of free services that will make Boogami an internet favourite. However, the biggest obstacle any new search engine or internet business faces is how to get visitors to the site in the first place to ensure advertisers get real value for money and then continue to get a return on their investment.
Having got the initial flush of success, you then need to website to capture the imagination of the public, start talking about it, get the media excited and attain the critical mass to ensure that numbers of visitors increase and are maintained once saturation of the market is attained.
These were all obstacles that we needed to overcome to ensure the success of the
launch of this new search engine.
