Entrepreneurial spirit, the world doesn't owe you a living, if you are long term unemployed it is time to start your own business and become an entrepreneur

Something that never ceases to amaze me is the fact that most long term unemployed lack any entrepreneurial spirit and appear to have no ambition to climb out of the pit of despair they call a life. I have yet to speak to anyone who has been unemployed for any length of time who didn't think it was the responsibility of someone else to provide them with gainful employment. They usually believe it is the responsibility of a large local company or government to provide them with a means of financial support. Had they lived in the nineteenth century, no doubt they and their family would have starved to death and there in lies the root of the problem.

Back in the 1800's we had the problem of the under classes being uneducated and unable to climb out of the slums and depravation into which they born. Obviously some did, but it was indeterminably more difficult than it is today. However, after the First World War, the government at the time decided that the well off should somehow become more responsible for the less well off. As it happens, this turned out to be the thin edge of the wedge and we have gradually been taking on more and more of the burden ever since. The result is that nowadays, every lazy, stupid, ill educated, low life bastard who doesn't want to go to work or thinks that the government should provide them with a job has become a benefits cheat.

WHERE IS YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT?

Governments should be responsible for creating the right environment for businesses to create jobs; it is not the responsibility of governments to create jobs. And there in lies the problem. We have too many bureaucrats paying themselves fat incomes, huge bonuses and promising each other the prospect of enormous pensions who are neither qualified or of a high enough calibre to understand nor deliver what is required. Where is your entrepreneurial spirit?

Instead they are spending billions of the tax payers money to consultancy firms who happen to employ thousands of failed business people. These failed business people then advise the low calibre local government workers who never had the balls to go out and earn a living in the big wide world how to best spend their huge budgets.

The outcome of course is that thousands of people are retrained to become computer programmers, website designers and business consultants. Nobody fucking builds anything of any use or marketable value. Nobody actually ends up in a worthwhile job and more jobs are created within local and regional government, civil service and business consultancies to try and find work for the millions of these newly trained IT people who are still unemployed. The politicians and civil servants responsible should all be taken outside, lined up against a wall and shot but of course this would be politically incorrect, so the bastards keep their pointless jobs and will simply become bigger burdens on the tax payer as they get moved to one side.

THE WORLD DOESN'T OWE YOU A LIVING

We've got all these job centres, government bodies and business consultancies all supposedly trying to create jobs for the long term unemployed when none of them have the intelligence or experience to actually go out there and create a business for themselves. If you want to get on life ask a successful person for advice; don't waste you time talking to some wanker who left school and went straight into the civil service or local government because they didn't have the balls to go out and carve a niche for themselves. They thought and still believe the world owed them a living, they just don't think it applies to anyone else.

The thing is, they will expect you to pay your business rates and taxes ahead of feeding your children because they know it is you who pay their wages. When some nasty little government official is throwing his weight around and behaving as if the money you he or she says you owe is their own, it is because it is. As a business person you have to go out to work and generate money to pay their wages. They don't have to do anything because their wages are paid every month come what may.

IF YOU ARE LONG TERM UNEMPLOYED

If you are long term unemployed, you are pretty much the same as all the government employees that suck the system dry. They may believe they work but few of them actually contribute anything of value to society. They've never taken a risk in their lives and you could remove most of them from the system tomorrow and the only difference anyone would notice would be the wages bill.

If you are long term unemployed you need to take stock of your situation and go for a total overhaul of your metal attitude. The world does not owe you a lining but it can provide you with far more than you ever dreamed of if you are prepared to go out there and fight for it. Why would you want to work for someone else and make them rich anyway?

BECOME AN ENTREPRENEUR

It is time the government woke up and realised that the only way out of this recession and to reduce unemployment levels is to create an environment where people can become entrepreneurs without getting stuck down and sucked into a bureaucratic system that strangles them before they even get started. You don't need business consultants who are failed business people how to do this. All you need is me!

It is time for you to become an entrepreneur! And time for the government to put in place decent tax breaks and launch periods for people like you to get established. The money they would have been paying you for being unemployed will more than pay for the lack of tax revenue whilst you are getting established.

However, you have to start thinking like an entrepreneur and not like an employee who knows exactly what he or she is going to be taking home at the end of the month. From now on in the skies the limit and you could earn more money than you ever dreamed of. Likewise, you could fall flat on your face if you are not prepared to put in the hours and the effort. This is not going to be an easy ride.

You may not have realised it but there are plenty of opportunities to make money on your doorstep and plenty of training films being shown on daytime television on the BBC everyday of the week. Everything you need to start a business can be found in your home and on your doorstep with all the training and information beamed into your home through your television every day. You just didn't realise it and may be it's now time to become an entrepreneur.
