EMPLOYMENT + CAREERS + JOBS + WAGES + UNEMPLOYMENT + SCHOOL LEAVERS
Employment * careers * jobs * wages * unemployment * school leavers * entrepreneurial and business opportunities * employment and career opportunities * job surplus * high wages * zero unemployment
We see employment as a crucial and central role in our
immigration,
education,
and
crime policies.
EMPLOYMENT LEVELS
Education must play a positive role in turning out students with the qualifications needed to fill important gaps in employment and not just filling gaps on university and college courses where there is a surplus of applicants.
By encouraging investment in countries and business sectors where there is a surplus of economic migrants, illegal immigration would drop and career immigration would be encouraged to fill gaps as necessity decreed.
Prison factories and ringed estates would be financially self sufficient, turning out skilled trades and experienced workers ready to fill waiting vacancies.
CAREERS AND JOBS
Currently, we have huge gaps in skilled trades necessitating the need for career and economic migration whilst universities and colleges continue to churn out school leavers with qualifications that are not needed in the work place.
There needs to be more cohesion and communication between the education and employment systems.
WAGES
Wages need to be more in keeping with the type of work whilst being better paid to encourage benefit scroungers back into the work place.
Start up businesses and companies taking on school leavers and the long term unemployed would receive tax breaks for the first two years of employment.
UNEMPLOYMENT
Unemployment benefits
would be payable for a maximum of six months at a full qualifying rate; at 75% for a further 3 months; at 50% for the last 3 months and then cease. Special dispensation allowance would be available for areas that were considered black spots.
If employment wasn't found within the first 3 months of unemployment, candidates would be expected to attend government retraining courses. Businesses would receive tax breaks to participate or provide this training.
There would be no job seekers allowance and no unemployment benefit for school leavers.
SCHOOL LEAVERS
Systems would be put in place to ensure that school leavers had found employment before leaving school. As there would be no unemployment or job seekers allowance for school leavers, businesses would be encouraged to attend special career open days at schools throughout term time.
If students or children failed to find employment before leaving school, they would either redouble to improve their qualifications or retrain through another course.
