Long term lets.

Are you thinking of buying a property in France? Perhaps you are going to France on a job move, or just studying there?

Many of our holiday property owners will offer their properties, out of the main season, for longer term rental. This equates to a very economical means of renting in the medium to longer term. Very often properties can be found for a modest rental per month which is normally the rental charged per week in the height of season. It is quite usual for the renter (or tenant) to pay for the heating and other utilities. Also, the tenant is normally responsible for the tax d'habitation. Your property owner will be happy to go through these costs with you. You should be issued with, and asked to sign, a contrat saisonniere or a contrat locataire - a bit like a shorthold tenancy agreement in the UK!
