• Check if the car has any outstanding finance.
• Don't be bullied into buying a car or parting with a deposit.

• Don't lie about the service history: If it has a genuine recorded history, say so. If it's complete, put full service history.
• Include details about number of owners if there aren't many for the age of the car.
• Sell the features on your car - alloy wheels, electric windows, air conditioning, central locking and so on - to set your car apart from the others.
