Writing Courses

Would you like me to bring my workshops to you? All you need to do is find me a free (or almost free) venue and at least nine other people to come along too and I will be glad to bring my course to you. If you live more than a short plane ride away from me in Middle England though the prices may have to be adjusted slightly! Though the price of low cost airlines means that it is often cheaper for me to fly to near Europe than to take the train to London!

Release the Book Within
How to put the book you have been burning to write into a format that will sell. This course includes lots of information on self-publishing, e-publishing, publishers, agents, synopses, rights and so on. Students will plan a sample book complete with synopsis and introduction. Discover these secrets and more from a wordsmith who has been, variously, poet, short story writer, student, teacher, journalist, publisher, editor, presenter and copywriter.

This course covers all the nuts and bolts of writing, marketing and selling an article. Hands on learning about all the different types of articles you can write about 'what happened to you' and the people you have met without doing lots of extra research. Indepth discussion on style, editing, cutting and clichés.

E-class option
This course can either be taken in an e-class, where each lesson arrives with you on a Monday morning and you complete the homework by the following Monday. My comments are then returned to you the Monday after that. If you would choose to ‘opt in’ then your work and my comments will also be circulated to all others who ‘opt in’.
