Founded in 1976 by a group of expatriate women of various nationalities, LIC became a registered organization in 1985. The group has a lending library for members and their families. The International Business Women's Group in Dubai (IBWG)
This business network for professional Business Women in the UAE, whch provides opportunities for personal and professional development. Meeting monthly the group usually features an after lunch speaker who makes them stop and think. Actively aim to feature topics which reflect the multi-faceted lives of women in the UAE. Also run development seminars for Members and have regular joint networking functions with other Business Groups. Current membership of around 200 from a whole range of professions, nationalities & cultures. Around half of members own and/or run their own businesses.
